8th Annual LOG-A-LOAD FOR KIDS   Hockey Tournament
Feb. 10 & 11, 2012  Corner Brook, NL

The 8th Annual Log-A-Load For Kids Hockey Tournament raised a whopping $37,050 in support of the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre. 

“The LOG-A-LOAD hockey tournament is something we look forward to doing every single year,” said Deon Hamlyn, Corner Brook Pulp and Paper employee and tournament organizer. “We all have a Janeway story, so it’s nice to come together as a group and give back to our children and our community.”

“It was an extremely exciting weekend; Sunny the Bear and I came out to the event just to say thank you and we were blown away by the results of the LOG-A-LOAD hockey tournament,” said the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Manager of Community Initiatives, Jenine Kerrivan. “Groups like Corner Brook Pulp and Paper, the Department of Natural Resources and Canadian Woodlands Forum make it possible for us to provide our Janeway kids with the special care they need and deserve!"

The winners of the LOG-A-LOAD FOR KIDS Challenge Cup – Northwest Forest Resources Limited – were determined by the amount of money raised for the Janeway, not by the number of goals scored.
