Woodlands Section Field Meeting

The group in this photo were employees of several woodlands operations of companies in Northwestern Ontario who were attending a field meeting of the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association, Woodlands Section. The meeting was hosted by the Dryden Paper Company. The Andersen Woodhawk is the machine carrying the pulp wood. It was pulled by a tractor and was used to pick up one cord of piles of pulpwood and forward it out to the main road for loading and hauling to the mill. (Oct. 1959)

Le groupe sur cette photo était composé d’employés de plusieurs entreprises du nord-ouest de l’Ontario qui participaient à une réunion sur le terrain de l’Association canadienne des pâtes et papiers, section des terres boisées. La réunion était organisée par la Dryden Paper Company. L’Andersen Woodhawk est la machine qui transporte la pâte à papier. Elle était tirée par un tracteur et servait à ramasser une corde de piles de bois à pâte et à l’acheminer jusqu’à la route principale pour le chargement et le transport vers l’usine. (Oct. 1959)
