We believe that each of our lives have been or will be touched by the tragedy of a child getting sick and needing the best possible care. This program allows us to help provide them with that care so they can grow up to live happy and productive lives.
Your generous donations always help support local Children’s Hospital Foundations 100% and help make a positive impact in the lives of our children who need it. Whether it’s a unique experience, a highly sought-after item, or a valuable service, we welcome any donations that you can contribute.
Log-A-Load For Kids Canada is a national giving campaign that facilitates donations from loggers and forest industry professionals to local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN)-affiliated hospital foundations. Participants can donate the value of a load of logs or raise funds through various events to support the cause.
The Canadian Woodlands Forum (CWF) takes pride in being the national coordinator for Log-A-Load For Kids Canada, ensuring that 100% of all contributions go directly to local CMN Canada hospital foundations. Overhead expenses are covered separately by sponsoring associations, the Children’s Miracle Network, and corporate and private underwriting, ensuring that the funds raised are maximized for the hospitals’ benefit.
Since its inception in 2000, Log-A-Load for Kids Canada has achieved remarkable success, raising over $1.7 million for different children’s hospitals across the country. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of numerous volunteers who organize a wide range of fundraising events, both large and small, contributing to the program’s success.
The children’s hospital foundations affiliated with the Children’s Miracle Network share a commitment to enhancing the lives of local children. The funds raised through Log-A-Load For Kids Canada play a crucial role in purchasing life-saving equipment and supporting groundbreaking medical research and essential services that do not receive assistance from the Provincial Ministry.
Log-A-Load For Kids Canada has a broad reach, benefiting children’s hospital foundations from St. John’s, Newfoundland, to Vancouver, British Columbia. The campaign encourages various creative fundraising events, such as sponsored golf tournaments, cookouts, log and equipment auctions, and raffles, which can be implemented in different communities across the country. Participants’ generosity is recognized through local media coverage and even at the national level, acknowledging their vital contributions. Annual fundraisers, including events like the Caledonia Ball Tournament and the Spring Meeting: Ritchie Brothers Live Auction bring people together in support of a great cause, fostering a sense of community and giving.
The CWF has been a supporter of Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations for over 20 years, consistently contributing to the well-being of children in need. Their continued dedication exemplifies the spirit of giving and compassion that makes Log-A-Load For Kids Canada such a successful and impactful program.
The Canadian Woodlands Forum, (CWF), is a not-for-profit membership-based organization recognized for its commitment to effective, quality woodlands operations in support of sustainable forest management.
